In the 12th minute, Francesco Totti got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 14 minutes into the match, Hammarby IF's goal looked a bit too open when Remus Vermeşan came free, but Holger Vester reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 38th minute, ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s Sandu Gheorghiu seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Sandu Gheorghiu the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of ASF BAIA MARE -MM- protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Sandu Gheorghiu had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. A collision led to ASF BAIA MARE -MM- getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Sandu Gheorghiu hit a great ball. After 39 played minutes, Hammarby IF's Isaltino Paes shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Thomás Linares came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Hammarby IF reached it. Eugen Lupea who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 48thth minute tested the skills of Holger Vester when he managed to save the team from getting behind.
ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s Thomás Linares proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save ASF BAIA MARE -MM- from getting a goal against them. 56 minutes into the match, ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s goalkeeper Thomás Linares had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Celedonio Dominguez. Thomás Linares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gösta Söderberg in the 57th minute of play. A collision led to ASF BAIA MARE -MM- getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Ernest Petru hit a great ball. Holger Vester made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victor Huștiu in the 61st minute of play. 65 minutes into the match, Hammarby IF's goal looked a bit too open when Remus Vermeşan came free, but Holger Vester reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Celedonio Dominguez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thomás Linares having to interfere. After 71 played minutes ASF BAIA MARE -MM- got a freekick which was hit by Victor Huștiu. 74 minutes into the match, Francesco Totti notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s Thomás Linares. Thomás Linares was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eugen Lupea in the 83rd minute of play forced Hammarby IF's goalkeeper Holger Vester to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eugen Lupea kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Holger Vester showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eugen Lupea, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Holger Vester showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eugen Lupea in the 89th minute of the match. In the 91st minute Gösta Söderberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thomás Linares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 92 minutes into the match, ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s goal looked a bit too open when Celedonio Dominguez came free, but Thomás Linares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 97th minute, Celedonio Dominguez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hammarby IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Celedonio Dominguez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Thomás Linares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hammarby IF's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
