The supporters of Posejdon Gdynia booed when Hertha 1969 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Moritz Hasenjäger didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sébastien Marionneau was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Benedikt Bensch showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 7 minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Hertha 1969's Gigel Elenescu slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Sébastien Marionneau. That made the score 2-0 after 10 minutes of play. Posejdon Gdynia's Gustaw Tscherner quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Stefan Mayer, made in the 13th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nils Hovermann in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sébastien Marionneau prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sébastien Marionneau showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nils Hovermann, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Benedikt Bensch got free with Sébastien Marionneau in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Co Wielaert charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Co Wielaert the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The crowd rose to their feet as Gigel Elenescu kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Sébastien Marionneau. That made the score 3-0 in the 22 minute of play. Zé Paulo da Silva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sébastien Marionneau having to interfere. A nice corner shot did that Benedikt Bensch got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Sébastien Marionneau quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The Hertha 1969 fans' excitement grew in the 30th match minute when Hertha 1969's Benedikt Bensch looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene.
