Judas Verón scored 0-1 in the 8th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Erland Söderberg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 11th minute Flóki Ólafsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernardo Raggio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 14 minutes into the match, Belgrano de Pibasog's Judas Verón sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Erland Söderberg narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 17 minutes into the match, Fomac FK's goal looked a bit too open when Judas Verón came free, but Erland Söderberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 32nd minute, Judas Verón made a precise shot to the right of Erland Söderberg. Fomac FK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Armando Paraibano in the 42nd minute of play forced Belgrano de Pibasog's goalkeeper Bernardo Raggio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 43rd minute, Judas Verón left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Belgrano de Pibasog fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-5.

The wind increased when Eddie Sörman made the kick off in the second half. Pawel Grabowicz hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. The Belgrano de Pibasog supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Belgrano de Pibasog would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
