With a couple of smart ball manuevers Agustín Tastzian in the 6th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Braulio Gartxot saved Red Devils from getting behind. 9 minutes into the match, Red Devils's Marcel da Rocha sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Edgar Trigo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 11 minutes into the game, Marcelinho Ramalho was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Barrenta SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Red Devils the free kick. In the 11th minute, Marcelinho Ramalho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 12 minutes into the match, Barrenta SC's goalkeeper Edgar Trigo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marcel da Rocha. A collision led to Barrenta SC getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Marcelinho Ramalho hit a great ball. 18 minutes in the game Marcelinho Ramalho did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Fellipe Lago. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind Barrenta SC's goalkeeper Edgar Trigo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 20th minute Marcel da Rocha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edgar Trigo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. It was a well-played corner which Simone Spano managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. A well-hit corner resulted in Simone Spano heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. 31 minutes into the match, Barrenta SC's goal looked a bit too open when Marcel da Rocha came free, but Edgar Trigo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 33rd minute, Red Devils's Marcel da Rocha ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Edgar Trigo. Edgar Trigo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Edgar Trigo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcel da Rocha in the 36th minute of play. In the 41st minute Fellipe Lago shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Braulio Gartxot saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Marcel da Rocha came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Red Devils fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcel da Rocha couldn't finish the play. After having played for 45 minutes, Marcel da Rocha managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Red Devils's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcel da Rocha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Marcel da Rocha struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Edgar Trigo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Red Devils.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Agustín Tastzian to make the kick off. Red Devils's Braulio Gartxot played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nariman Mansourian in the 51st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Red Devils's Sotos Zervoulakos got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Edgar Trigo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marcel da Rocha went, in the 56th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Edgar Trigo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcel da Rocha, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. 60 minutes into the game, Marcel da Rocha cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Edgar Trigo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Barrenta SC made a substitution. Urban Stenman replaced Genílson Leite. In the 64th match minute, Barrenta SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcelinho Ramalho to maneuver through the defense. Marcel da Rocha took the ball and in the 66 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Edgar Trigo. Marcel da Rocha might have been able to make a better finish in the 70th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Edgar Trigo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marcel da Rocha ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 75th minute Agustín Tastzian shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Braulio Gartxot saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Braulio Gartxot made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Urban Stenman sent off a good shot on target. Fellipe Lago sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Urban Stenman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Braulio Gartxot made a huge save. Braulio Gartxot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fellipe Lago in the 81st minute of play. 82 minutes into the match, Barrenta SC's goal looked a bit too open when Marcel da Rocha came free, but Edgar Trigo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Red Devils booed when Barrenta SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcelinho Ramalho didn't get a good kick on the ball. Braulio Gartxot showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fellipe Lago, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute.
