The supporters of Rivermania FC booed when Colognese FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Edgard Batista to make the kick off. Alfredinho Carneiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rosendo Flor, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. In the 68th minute of the match Colognese FC got a corner. Rivermania FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. The corner led Colognese FC's Ioan Cocârlă to fire away a dangerous shot which Severino Hulberto despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Rivermania FC's Teodoro Foro quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Silvério Barreto, made in the 70th minute of the game. After 72 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Rivermania FC! Severino Hulberto was a little too slow when Edgard Batista got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 77th minute. The score was now 1-2. Jacobo Santxol took the ball and in the 83 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alfredinho Carneiro. Alfredinho Carneiro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Severino Hulberto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juninho Santos, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. But to his dismay, Jacobo Santxol quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. Rivermania FC's Severino Hulberto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save Rivermania FC from getting a goal against them. 94 minutes into the match, Rivermania FC's goal looked a bit too open when Edgard Batista came free, but Severino Hulberto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Geovanni Leme received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Severino Hulberto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
