Rivermania FC's Severino Hulberto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cássio Dracena in the 51st minute of play. Bogdan Bogdanović sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Erasmo Lorencio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Sören Malmberg made a huge save. The Rivermania FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Severino Hulberto should have stopped the shot. In the 82nd minute Bogdan Bogdanović shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Severino Hulberto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sören Malmberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ana Tatangelo, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. In the 87th minute, Bogdan Bogdanović hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rivermania FC's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Club 23 had won, even though Rivermania FC had held more of the ball.
