Norbert Major could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Toni Schumacher made a huge save. Toni Schumacher made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Norbert Major in the 12th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Norbert Major managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pogoń Szczecin's supporters rose to their feet, but Norbert Major was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. The audience was convinced that Norbert Major's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Toni Schumacher was relentless in the 39th minute of the game. A collision led to Pogoń Szczecin getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Manos Trachanas hit a great ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Norbert Major couldn't finish the play. Toni Schumacher didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pogoń Szczecin. FC Bullen's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
