Karhulan Veikot's Cássio Ramos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Håkan Šuker in the 2nd minute of play. 6 minutes into the match, Janne Töpperwien notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Honung's Aristide Beșliu. Aristide Beșliu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Janne Töpperwien in the 9th minute of play forced Honung's goalkeeper Aristide Beșliu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 10 minutes Honung's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was István Vida who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that István Vida got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Aristide Beșliu quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Karhulan Veikot's Cássio Ramos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Karhulan Veikot from getting a goal against them. 22 minutes into the game, Honung's Håkan Šuker nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cássio Ramos made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Janne Töpperwien fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aristide Beșliu having to interfere. 28 minutes into the game, Teofil Lewicki threw the ball into play from the sideline. Karhulan Veikot's István Vida quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Cássio Ramos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Håkan Šuker's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. Cássio Ramos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Håkan Šuker, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Karhulan Veikot's Hemminki Kuuttinen got a free kick in the 33rd minute. 35 minutes into the game, Håkan Šuker cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Cássio Ramos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Hemminki Kuuttinen hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Honung's Aristide Beșliu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Janne Töpperwien in the 42nd minute of play. A sloppy throw-in by István Vida in the 44th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Honung's Teofil Lewicki. Håkan Šuker's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cássio Ramos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. After 47 minutes, Hemminki Kuuttinen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Karhulan Veikot and the Honung players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Karhulan Veikot getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Hemminki Kuuttinen hit a great ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

58 minutes into the game, Håkan Šuker cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Cássio Ramos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Honung made a substitution. King Puck replaced Juan Manuel Vargas. The audience was convinced that Simon Lertora's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cássio Ramos was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. Johan Kilström hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Honung's Aristide Beșliu got control of the ball when Janne Töpperwien tried to sneak it across the goal line. Aristide Beșliu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Janne Töpperwien in the 79th minute of play. The supporters of Karhulan Veikot booed when Honung was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Johan Kilström didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ohto Lamminen hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. In the 93rd minute, Angel Lehoi made a precise shot to the right of Cássio Ramos. Karhulan Veikot's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-1.
