Cássio Ramos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tadeu Bittencourt in the 18th minute of the match. When Stamatis Pavlakos fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Denti della Vecchia's protests and gave Stamatis Pavlakos a yellow card for diving instead. With a little luck, Denti della Vecchia's Fausto Pinho got control of the ball when Janne Töpperwien tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 63 played minutes Karhulan Veikot got a freekick which was hit by Janne Töpperwien. Daniel Heinikangas kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. In the 65th minute Tolek Kornatowski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cássio Ramos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Janne Töpperwien fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fausto Pinho having to interfere. After 70 played minutes Denti della Vecchia got a freekick which was hit by Tadeu Bittencourt. In the 71st minute Janne Töpperwien shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fausto Pinho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Janne Töpperwien sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Stamatis Pavlakos was shown his second yellow card after 93 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The supporters of Karhulan Veikot booed when Denti della Vecchia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stamatis Pavlakos didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 94th minute, István Vida got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Although Karhulan Veikot had been in control for most of the match, Denti della Vecchia still came away with the win.
