After a rather tough play, Ghost Hunters's Doriva Sousa got a free kick in the 3rd minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Willian Pay kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jósef Wandzik. That made the score 1-0 in the 4 minute of play. Doriva Sousa might have been able to make a better finish in the 8th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Honorato Aznaro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Doriva Sousa ran back to his position shaking his head. Honorato Aznaro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Doriva Sousa in the 8th minute of play. Willian Pay might have been able to make a better finish in the 10th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jósef Wandzik. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Willian Pay ran back to his position shaking his head. 10 minutes into the match, Ghost Hunters's goal looked a bit too open when Willian Pay came free, but Jósef Wandzik reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A sloppy throw-in by Aiakos Vardakas in the 13th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Ghost Hunters's Ahmet Gökalp Usal. Ghost Hunters's attentive Ahmet Gökalp Usal managed to snatch the ball when Aiakos Vardakas made a throw-in in the 15th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Willian Pay in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jósef Wandzik prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Emanuel Hârșu scored 2-0 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jósef Wandzik, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Doriva Sousa in the 31st minute of play forced Habsburgo's goalkeeper Honorato Aznaro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 33 minutes had been played when some careless play by Habsburgo's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jan-Åke Melander was slow to take the kick. During this time Ghost Hunters's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Jan-Åke Melander got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Honorato Aznaro quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Ghost Hunters's attentive Nils-Åke Alströmer managed to snatch the ball when Aiakos Vardakas made a throw-in in the 37th minute of the game. Honorato Aznaro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nils-Åke Alströmer in the 39th minute of play. After 40 played minutes Habsburgo got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Ramone. Doriva Sousa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Honorato Aznaro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. Honorato Aznaro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Doriva Sousa in the 48th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Willian Pay was the one to do the kick off. Habsburgo's Aiakos Vardakas quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Jósef Wandzik took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Herberts Dreizis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Doriva Sousa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Honorato Aznaro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. Jósef Wandzik made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sebastian Froylan in the 76th minute of play. Ghost Hunters's Shi Yan Lin was substituted for Henri-Patrick Grocholski. If Doriva Sousa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.
