With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lionel Paly prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Lionel Paly showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Conrado Monico, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Ezio Gøl took the ball and in the 17 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lautaro Morales. Lautaro Morales dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 24 minutes into the game, Emery Heller cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Lautaro Morales was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Lionel Paly made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Conrado Monico in the 27th minute of play. Lautaro Morales showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ezio Gøl, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. After 31 played minutes FC Wil 1900 got a freekick which was hit by Philipp Santagapita. Lautaro Morales took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Téo Rosa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lautaro Morales showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pirmin Jäggi, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Lautaro Morales made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emery Heller in the 37th minute of play. Lionel Paly made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Conrado Monico in the 40th minute of play. 43 minutes into the match, Ψ S.F 25 de Mayo Ψ's goal looked a bit too open when Pirmin Jäggi came free, but Lautaro Morales reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half FC Wil 1900 were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Ψ S.F 25 de Mayo Ψ's Romulo Esiquio was substituted for Lázaro Ugaitz. Ψ S.F 25 de Mayo Ψ's Modesto Abella was substituted for Andres Barto. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Pirmin Jäggi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Téo Rosa in the 57th minute of play forced Ψ S.F 25 de Mayo Ψ's goalkeeper Lautaro Morales to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. He Song might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lionel Paly. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. He Song ran back to his position shaking his head. Lionel Paly made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from He Song in the 59th minute of play. He Song blasted a shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lionel Paly having to make a save. The audience was convinced that He Song's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lionel Paly was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Ψ S.F 25 de Mayo Ψ's Albano Ortle got a free kick in the 63rd minute. FC Wil 1900's Friedrich Nietzsche was substituted for Curtiz Klein. FC Wil 1900's Alex Leisibach was substituted for Ezio Gøl. In the 69thth minute of the game He Song who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Wil 1900's Lionel Paly was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 74 minutes into the game, Ψ S.F 25 de Mayo Ψ's He Song nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lionel Paly made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Wil 1900's goalkeeper Lionel Paly, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 81st minute, He Song ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lionel Paly was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Lionel Paly made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from He Song in the 84th minute of play. Lionel Paly didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from He Song went, in the 89th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. In the 92nd minute, He Song got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If He Song had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 97 minutes into the match, FC Wil 1900's goal looked a bit too open when He Song came free, but Lionel Paly reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. FC Wil 1900's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
