The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A.S. Udinese's Alvaro Rotili played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Harm de Freitas in the 4th minute of play. In the 9th minute Harm de Freitas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alvaro Rotili saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 11 minutes into the match, MarquinhosEC's goal looked a bit too open when Alessio Zoccali came free, but Matei Răducu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alvaro Rotili showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Harm de Freitas in the 13th minute of the match. When Alberigo Di Franco came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the A.S. Udinese fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alberigo Di Franco couldn't finish the play. In the 19th minute, MarquinhosEC's Harm de Freitas ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Alvaro Rotili. Alvaro Rotili yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. 22 minutes into the game, Vágner Porto threw the ball into play from the sideline. A.S. Udinese's Alessio Zoccali quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alessio Zoccali in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Matei Răducu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, MarquinhosEC's Pedrinho Siqueira got a free kick in the 34th minute. In the 36th match minute, A.S. Udinese was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristiano Paolucci to maneuver through the defense. In the 41st minute, Alessio Zoccali left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The A.S. Udinese fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Alessio Zoccali struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Matei Răducu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for A.S. Udinese. Matei Răducu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alessio Zoccali, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half A.S. Udinese were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

A.S. Udinese made a substitution. Tom Pervik replaced Bruno Maranzano. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alessio Zoccali to make the kick off. After some careless play in the A.S. Udinese defense, Fausto Di Blasio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alvaro Rotili. The A.S. Udinese fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alvaro Rotili should have stopped the shot. Alexander Damiani made in the 57th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by MarquinhosEC's Barrie Deacon. Alessio Zoccali received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Matei Răducu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alexander Damiani hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. MarquinhosEC made a substitution. Marco Tardelli replaced Harm de Freitas. MarquinhosEC made a substitution. Esteve Quinto replaced Mark Kovalev. A collision led to A.S. Udinese getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Alexander Damiani hit a great ball. Ercole Fiorentino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A throw-in in the 70th minute of the game was made by Pedrinho Siqueira with Barrie Deacon as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. A.S. Udinese's attentive Alberigo Di Franco managed to snatch the ball when Pedrinho Siqueira made a throw-in in the 72nd minute of the game. 73 minutes into the match, MarquinhosEC's goal looked a bit too open when Alberigo Di Franco came free, but Matei Răducu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 75 played minutes MarquinhosEC got a freekick which was hit by Barrie Deacon. After a rather tough play, A.S. Udinese's Dino Pozzoli got a free kick in the 83rd minute. A.S. Udinese's Alexander Damiani quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Marco Tardelli, made in the 85th minute of the game. In the 89th minute, A.S. Udinese's Ercole Fiorentino ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Matei Răducu. Matei Răducu yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-4. A.S. In the 96th minute Ercole Fiorentino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matei Răducu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to A.S. Udinese getting a freekick after 98 minutes play. Dino Pozzoli hit a great ball. The A.S. Udinese players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
