Filip Paulescu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Leopoldo Rivero made a huge save. Leopoldo Rivero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucian Stere in the 27th minute of play. In the 33rd minute, Lucian Stere made a precise shot to the right of Leopoldo Rivero. DOROSTOL Ss's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. In the 36th minute, Lucian Stere got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Marian Văduvescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cafu Fonseca in the 39th minute of play. In the 40th minute, Velichko Petzev hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zygmunt Dunajski in the 41st minute of play forced DOROSTOL Ss's goalkeeper Leopoldo Rivero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to FC Steaua Pildesti getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Robert Antohi hit a great ball. 45 minutes into the match, DOROSTOL Ss's goal looked a bit too open when Nicolae Barbu came free, but Leopoldo Rivero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Erasmo Veiga made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, FC Steaua Pildesti's Robert Antohi got a free kick in the 70th minute. The referee felt a red card was in order, 72 minutes into the game, when Terry Doyle put in a rough tackle. In the 72nd minute, one of FC Steaua Pildesti:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for FC Steaua Pildesti. Marian Văduvescu had in the 74thth minute some difficulties stopping Nicolas Teixeira's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Leopoldo Rivero came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Steaua Pildesti's Zygmunt Dunajski. But to his dismay, Zygmunt Dunajski quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. 82 minutes into the match, FC Steaua Pildesti's goal looked a bit too open when Nicolas Teixeira came free, but Marian Văduvescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Toshko Strezov kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Valko Chochkov kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. In the 93rd minute Zygmunt Dunajski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leopoldo Rivero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Filip Paulescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.
