A sloppy throw-in by Stig-Inge Nymoen in the 9th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Fauna Utd's Leopold Van den Paenhuysen. Fauna Utd's Radamel Hendrickx played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by He Zheng Xing in the 11th minute of play. In the 12th minute He Zheng Xing shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Radamel Hendrickx saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pipis Culot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yuri Portugal in the 13th minute of play. 17 minutes into the match, Fauna Utd's goal looked a bit too open when He Zheng Xing came free, but Radamel Hendrickx reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pipis Culot showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Unai Sócrates, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. A collision led to Glyka Nera FC getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Pedro Geromel hit a great ball. 22 minutes into the match, Glyka Nera FC's goal looked a bit too open when Yuri Portugal came free, but Pipis Culot reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Glyka Nera FC's Pipis Culot proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Glyka Nera FC from getting a goal against them. Pipis Culot didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 27th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. Radamel Hendrickx showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from He Zheng Xing, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pieterjan Anteunis in the 33rd minute of play forced Glyka Nera FC's goalkeeper Pipis Culot to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Yuri Portugal was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 36th minute. Fauna Utd's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. 38 minutes into the match, Fauna Utd's goal looked a bit too open when Stig-Inge Nymoen came free, but Radamel Hendrickx reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pipis Culot showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teodoro Esquipula in the 41st minute of the match. Glyka Nera FC's Pipis Culot proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Glyka Nera FC from getting a goal against them. Radamel Hendrickx showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from He Zheng Xing, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Yuri Portugal to make the kick off. In the 51st minute, Pieterjan Anteunis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 57th minute Güven Çırakoğlu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Radamel Hendrickx saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Glyka Nera FC's Yücel Tandoğdu got a free kick in the 61st minute. Fauna Utd's Radamel Hendrickx proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save Fauna Utd from getting a goal against them. Pipis Culot took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Unai Sócrates, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pipis Culot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yuri Portugal in the 85th minute of play. 90 minutes into the game, Unai Sócrates cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Pipis Culot was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Teodoro Esquipula had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee ended the match the Fauna Utd players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
