The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ovidiu Caranfil showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Primitivo Grau in the 9th minute of the match. After 11 played minutes Club Vertigo got a freekick which was hit by Remus Greavu. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zhao Sen Yang in the 13th minute of play forced Club Vertigo's goalkeeper Ovidiu Caranfil to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s Ivan Chiuzbaian got control of the ball when Dumitru Teodoroiu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Club Vertigo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM- the free kick. A collision led to Club Vertigo getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Remus Greavu hit a great ball. Ovidiu Caranfil made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zhao Sen Yang in the 54th minute of play. After 55 minutes Club Vertigo's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Olov Ahlbeck who took care of the corner kick. At last the ball reached Primitivo Grau at the corner, ending with a kick to difficult to stop for the goalkeeper of Club Vertigo. 1-5. If Zhao Sen Yang had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Zhao Sen Yang could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Ovidiu Caranfil made a huge save. After 74 played minutes Club Vertigo got a freekick which was hit by Sabin Corcoveanu. 75 minutes into the match, Club Vertigo's goalkeeper Ovidiu Caranfil had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Primitivo Grau.
