Cactos's Bran Allison played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zeledon Sol in the 13th minute of play. 15 minutes into the match, Areco FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ricki Dresager came free, but Gabriel Urtats reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ricki Dresager in the 15th minute of play forced Areco FC's goalkeeper Gabriel Urtats to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gabriel Urtats took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ricki Dresager, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 19th minute, Ricki Dresager left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cactos fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Areco FC's goalkeeper Gabriel Urtats, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maurinho Trezeguet in the 25th minute of play forced Areco FC's goalkeeper Gabriel Urtats to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ricki Dresager in the 37th minute of play forced Areco FC's goalkeeper Gabriel Urtats to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 38th minute, Ricki Dresager left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cactos fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. 43 minutes into the match, Areco FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mario Yepes came free, but Gabriel Urtats reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edgardo Domiku kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Maurinho Trezeguet got free with Gabriel Urtats in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 55th minute Zeledon Sol shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bran Allison saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ricki Dresager took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gabriel Urtats. Gabriel Urtats dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Cactos made a substitution. Coronel Camba replaced Conrado Capixaba. After some careless play in the Areco FC defense, Ricki Dresager kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gabriel Urtats. The Areco FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gabriel Urtats should have stopped the shot. Gabriel Urtats made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Matias Gaitan sent off a good shot on target. Bran Allison showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ismael Barros, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. 77 minutes into the match, Ricki Dresager notched a goal, 0-5, to the right of Areco FC's Gabriel Urtats.
