Jean-Louis Van Bever stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ricki Dresager's shot from short distance in the 5th minute. Bran Allison took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karl-Heinz Kaltz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cosmin Contra kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. In the 11th minute Ricki Dresager shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jean-Louis Van Bever saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Herman Frans hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Jean-Louis Van Bever made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ricki Dresager in the 15th minute of play. 19 minutes into the match, Ricki Dresager had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jean-Louis Van Bever. KFC Cromvelde's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ricki Dresager was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. In the 22nd minute, Matthias Wauters hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jean-Louis Van Bever took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ricki Dresager, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 42nd match minute, KFC Cromvelde was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Karl-Heinz Kaltz to maneuver through the defense. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

52 minutes into the match, KFC Cromvelde's goal looked a bit too open when Maurinho Trezeguet came free, but Jean-Louis Van Bever reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 54 minutes into the match, Cactos's goal looked a bit too open when Mathijs Rokeloos came free, but Bran Allison reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cactos's Coronel Camba was substituted for Conrado Capixaba. Cactos's Luisinho Maciel was substituted for Ricki Dresager. A collision led to Cactos getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Maurinho Trezeguet hit a great ball. Bran Allison showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mathijs Rokeloos, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Cactos's Bran Allison proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Cactos from getting a goal against them. After 64th play minutes Luisinho Maciel shot 2-0, a short shot which went by Jean-Louis Van Bever and just under the crossbar into goal. KFC Cromvelde's Andries Vermeiren was substituted for Eugenio Cirulli. Jean-Louis Van Bever showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maurinho Trezeguet in the 69th minute of the match. In the 70th play minute Mathijs Rokeloos came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Bran Allison. 2-1. Cactos made a substitution. Matias Gaitan replaced Maurinho Trezeguet. Jochen Van den Panhuizen hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. In the 76th minute Andries Vermeiren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bran Allison saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. KFC Cromvelde's Jean-Louis Van Bever played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luisinho Maciel in the 79th minute of play. After 82 played minutes Cactos got a freekick which was hit by Matias Gaitan. Bran Allison made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dé 武松 in the 83rd minute. The supporters of Cactos booed when KFC Cromvelde was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jochen Van den Panhuizen didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee ended the match the Cactos players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
