Blue Mountain State's Robin Sharma proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Blue Mountain State from getting a goal against them. Robin Sharma made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Jânio Sanches sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karol Panasewicz in the 17th minute of play forced Castanheiro SC's goalkeeper Tales Brito to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Castanheiro SC's Tales Brito played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicolas De la Cruz in the 18th minute of play. Tales Brito took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karol Panasewicz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Robin Sharma made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robben Spoelberchs in the 22nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jânio Sanches in the 27th minute of play forced Blue Mountain State's goalkeeper Robin Sharma to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 31st minute, Tevfik Hunalp left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Blue Mountain State fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. 34 minutes into the match, Castanheiro SC's Jânio Sanches sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Robin Sharma narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A throw-in in the 41st minute of the game was made by Gilberto Lopes with Robben Spoelberchs as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Nicolas De la Cruz's late challenge caught a Castanheiro SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nicolas De la Cruz helped the player get up and apologised. Gilberto Lopes kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jânio Sanches made a kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Castanheiro SC's goal looked a bit too open when Karol Panasewicz came free, but Tales Brito reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tales Brito showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Karol Panasewicz, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tevfik Hunalp got free with Tales Brito in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 69th minute, Karol Panasewicz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Blue Mountain State fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Blue Mountain State made a substitution. Lionel-Andrés Messi replaced Karol Panasewicz. Castanheiro SC's Alfredo Stefano was substituted for Jânio Sanches. 75 minutes into the game, Alfredo Stefano cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Robin Sharma was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Robin Sharma made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robben Spoelberchs in the 78th minute of play. The Castanheiro SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tales Brito should have stopped the shot. After 93 minutes, 陶渊伟 made it 2-4 with a short kick to the right side. Blue Mountain State's Robin Sharma tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot.
