Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Éric Cantona took the kick off in the first half of the match. Fermin Dolfo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sebastian Hellkvist read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 4th minute of play. Basri İhtiyar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jakub Ziombkowski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 8th minute, Jakub Ziombkowski reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Basri İhtiyar. The goal made the score 1-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Éric Cantona in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Basri İhtiyar saved Yalapa from getting behind. After 14 minutes Yalapa's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Humberto Barragan who took care of the corner kick. After 21 played minutes Yalapa got a freekick which was hit by Jose Nuno. With a little luck, Yalapa's Basri İhtiyar got control of the ball when Jakub Ziombkowski tried to sneak it across the goal line. Sebastian Hellkvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fermin Dolfo in the 27th minute of play. Basri İhtiyar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Humberto Barragan, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Basri İhtiyar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Éric Cantona in the 33rd minute of the match. Sebastian Hellkvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fermin Dolfo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Reto Knobel kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fermin Dolfo in the 46th minute of play forced Inter de Guayaquil FC's goalkeeper Sebastian Hellkvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fermin Dolfo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Inter de Guayaquil FC made a substitution. Zé Pedro Baptista replaced Humberto Barragan. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fermin Dolfo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Sebastian Hellkvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fermin Dolfo in the 54th minute of the match. Yalapa's Cristobal Isusko was substituted for Marcos Firmo. Yalapa's Atilano Dino was substituted for Olaf Gall. After 57 played minutes Yalapa got a freekick which was hit by Olaf Gall. Sebastian Hellkvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Diego Armando Junior, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. After 61 minutes Inter de Guayaquil FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Diego Armando Junior who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Frank Law almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Inter de Guayaquil FC's Sebastian Hellkvist did a great save. Sebastian Hellkvist was out of position in the 63 minute of play, and Fermin Dolfo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Fermin Dolfo really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. Yalapa's Atilla Bumin Hirfanlı was substituted for Fermin Dolfo. In the 79th minute Atilla Bumin Hirfanlı shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastian Hellkvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zé Pedro Baptista made in the 81st minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Yalapa's Juan Edwardo. In the 87th minute of the match, Diego Armando Junior got a very nice opportunity to score, but Sebastian Hellkvist was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jörn Svartengren in the 88th minute of play forced Yalapa's goalkeeper Basri İhtiyar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sebastian Hellkvist made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Atilla Bumin Hirfanlı sent off a good shot on target. Jörn Svartengren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Basri İhtiyar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jörn Svartengren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Inter de Guayaquil FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
