Gilberto Nayely might have been able to make a better finish in the 3rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Farid Mondragón. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gilberto Nayely ran back to his position shaking his head. Farid Mondragón took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gilberto Nayely, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the C. A. Independiente defense, Gilberto Nayely kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Farid Mondragón. The C. A. Independiente fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Farid Mondragón should have stopped the shot. 8 minutes into the match, Punk Fiction's goal looked a bit too open when Xu Yun Quan came free, but Amado Jordão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Farid Mondragón didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gilberto Nayely went, in the 10th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. A collision led to Punk Fiction getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Edelmiro Olivar hit a great ball. 14 minutes into the match, C. A. Independiente's goal looked a bit too open when Gilberto Nayely came free, but Farid Mondragón reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Juanpi Sorin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amado Jordão having to interfere. Farid Mondragón showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilberto Nayely in the 20th minute of the match. In the 20th minute, Gilberto Nayely made a precise shot to the right of Farid Mondragón. C. A. Independiente's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Qiu Fan Ran ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 40th minute, Gilberto Nayely hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Independiente fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. With his leg Farid Mondragón managed to avoid a goal in the 55thth minute, when Punk Fiction's Gilberto Nayely fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Gilberto Nayely could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Farid Mondragón made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sidney Forbes in the 61st minute of play forced Punk Fiction's goalkeeper Amado Jordão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Gilberto Nayely's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Farid Mondragón was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. Independiente got a freekick which was hit by Ryszard Prusinowski. In the 80th minute, Gilberto Nayely got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Farid Mondragón made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gilberto Nayely in the 83rd minute. In the 86th minute, Xu Yun Quan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The C. A. Independiente fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-4. Amado Jordão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xu Yun Quan, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute.
