In the 6th minute, Cyprian Oliszewski left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ORIZABA F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. With 9 minutes on the clock, Hilario Izquierdo commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 9 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for ORIZABA F.C.! The referee gave C. A. Independiente a penalty, 11 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Qiu Fan Ran, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of ORIZABA F.C.'s Oliver Kan. 1-1. In the 17th minute Fausto Beattie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Farid Mondragón saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Oliver Kan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xu Yun Quan in the 19th minute of play. Oliver Kan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sidney Forbes in the 22nd minute. Farid Mondragón showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cyprian Oliszewski in the 23rd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kerry Sellers got free with Oliver Kan in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sidney Forbes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Oliver Kan made a huge save. Farid Mondragón didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ORIZABA F.C.. When Qiu Fan Ran fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored C. A. Independiente's protests and gave Qiu Fan Ran a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to C. A. Independiente getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Qiu Fan Ran hit a great ball. Amílton Loyola kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Ryszard Prusinowski kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. In the 53rd minute of the match ORIZABA F.C. got a corner. C. A. Independiente's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Julian Kosakowski ran over to the corner to take the kick. ORIZABA F.C.'s Julian Kosakowski was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Farid Mondragón in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kerry Sellers in the 57th minute of play forced ORIZABA F.C.'s goalkeeper Oliver Kan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Farid Mondragón was a little too slow when Cyprian Oliszewski got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 64th minute. The score was now 1-2. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fausto Beattie during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to ORIZABA F.C. getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Fausto Beattie hit a great ball. Oliver Kan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juanpi Sorin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Juanpi Sorin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ryszard Prusinowski charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ryszard Prusinowski the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ryszard Prusinowski kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. ORIZABA F.C.'s attentive Cyprian Oliszewski managed to snatch the ball when Ryszard Prusinowski made a throw-in in the 75th minute of the game. Oliver Kan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juanpi Sorin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 80 minutes, Kerry Sellers put it in 2-2 from a short distance just to the right of Oliver Kan. 84 minutes into the match, ORIZABA F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Alfredo Felder came free, but Oliver Kan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Xu Yun Quan in the 86th minute of play forced ORIZABA F.C.'s goalkeeper Oliver Kan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 89th minute Kerry Sellers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oliver Kan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. ORIZABA F.C.'s Cyprian Oliszewski got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 95 minutes, Cyprian Oliszewski took a quick shot and it went in 2-3 without a chance for Farid Mondragón to make any attempt to save it. The ORIZABA F.C. players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
