They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Froilan Reyes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 51 minutes of play, Boomer Fc's Froilan Reyes made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lenny Vorster was left in no man's land by his defense there! After having played for 53 minutes, Bebeto Gaúcho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Boomer Fc's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bebeto Gaúcho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Boomer Fc were awarded a corner in the 57th minute after Genk's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Bebeto Gaúcho took the corner. But to his dismay, Marco Boniel quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. The Boomer Fc fans' excitement grew in the 91st match minute when Boomer Fc's Marco Boniel looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 7-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexander Klemensson in the 93rd minute of play forced Boomer Fc's goalkeeper Gumersindo Moreira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tito Quintas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Lenny Vorster tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Boomer Fc fans cheered their team off the field, for while Genk had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
