The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When the match had gone on for 12 minutes, Konstantinos Kroustallis took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Julian Zakrzewski to make any attempt to save it. Ksawery Galaska made in the 17th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Gyál United's Január Csillag. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raphaël Félicité in the 19th minute of play forced Gyál United's goalkeeper Gyula Grosics to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 22 minutes into the match, Kujawiak Włocławek's goal looked a bit too open when Konstantinos Kroustallis came free, but Julian Zakrzewski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Konstantinos Kroustallis got free with Julian Zakrzewski in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Julian Zakrzewski made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Miklós Páncsics sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Walmir Breckenfeld got free with Julian Zakrzewski in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gyula Grosics showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ethan Smart, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Konstantinos Kroustallis might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Julian Zakrzewski. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Konstantinos Kroustallis ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 35th minute Konstantinos Kroustallis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julian Zakrzewski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 36th match minute, Kujawiak Włocławek was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Victoriano Carlini to maneuver through the defense. After 39 played minutes Kujawiak Włocławek got a freekick which was hit by Victoriano Carlini. In the 40th minute of the match Ignác Mayer sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Julian Zakrzewski skillfully saved the ball. A collision led to Gyál United getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Ignác Mayer hit a great ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ethan Smart made a kick off. In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Kujawiak Włocławek's goalkeeper Julian Zakrzewski, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The corner led Gyál United's Ignác Mayer to fire away a dangerous shot which Julian Zakrzewski despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 62 minutes into the game, Walmir Breckenfeld cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Julian Zakrzewski was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 65th minute Konstantinos Kroustallis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julian Zakrzewski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Konstantinos Kroustallis in the 69th minute of play forced Kujawiak Włocławek's goalkeeper Julian Zakrzewski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 73 minutes, Konstantinos Kroustallis made it 4-0 with a short kick to the right side. Kujawiak Włocławek's Julian Zakrzewski tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Gyula Grosics showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oscar Verstraeten, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Bert Van Cleynenbreugel kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Gyál United had won after a very even match.
