The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 2nd match minute, SV Bad Harzburg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Halldor Sönksen to maneuver through the defense. Tim Wiese made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felipe Arauz in the 6th minute of play. In the 8th minute, SV Bad Harzburg's Marc Richter dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Tim Wiese showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cesar Gil, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eckard Döngelli in the 15th minute of play forced ORION F.C.'s goalkeeper Carman Jobson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Felipe Arauz hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Carman Jobson made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Halldor Sönksen sent off a good shot on target. Tim Wiese showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felipe Arauz, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. 23 minutes into the match, SV Bad Harzburg's goal looked a bit too open when Antonio Corelli came free, but Tim Wiese reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, ORION F.C.'s Carman Jobson got control of the ball when Emanuel Schrappe tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antonio Corelli in the 25th minute of play forced SV Bad Harzburg's goalkeeper Tim Wiese to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Carman Jobson made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Halldor Sönksen sent off a good shot on target. SV Bad Harzburg's Eugen Boedefeld managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Hermes Tello in the 30 minute of the game. Tim Wiese made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antonio Corelli in the 33rd minute of play. Cesar Gil scored 1-1 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tim Wiese, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. ORION F.C.'s Carman Jobson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save ORION F.C. from getting a goal against them. In the 44th minute of the match SV Bad Harzburg got a corner. ORION F.C.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Emanuel Schrappe ran over to the corner to take the kick. Eckard Döngelli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carman Jobson having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cesar Gil made a kick off. 65 minutes into the match, SV Bad Harzburg's goalkeeper Tim Wiese had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cesar Gil. After 67 played minutes ORION F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Fernando Gomez. Carman Jobson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gideon Weber, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. The supporters of SV Bad Harzburg booed when ORION F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antonio Corelli didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to ORION F.C. getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Cesar Gil hit a great ball. Tim Wiese was a little too slow when Cesar Gil got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 79th minute. The score was now 2-2. Felipe Arauz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tim Wiese having to interfere. In the 88th minute Gideon Weber shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carman Jobson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carman Jobson came out of the goal in the 96th minute to try and stop a shot by SV Bad Harzburg's Larry von Stetten. But to his dismay, Larry von Stetten quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. SV Bad Harzburg had won after a very even match.
