Eduardo Cabral made a great header on Clube Atlético Paulista's corner, it was just that Clapham Comets F.C.'s Curtis Higgins managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 11thth minute of the game Manfredo Cerezo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Clapham Comets F.C.'s Curtis Higgins was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Curtis Higgins took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Severino Soares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 15th minute, Clapham Comets F.C.'s Rupert Hampshire ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Alfredinho Velloso. Alfredinho Velloso yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Severino Soares in the 19th minute of play forced Clapham Comets F.C.'s goalkeeper Curtis Higgins to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 21st match minute, Clapham Comets F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sammy Le Tissier to maneuver through the defense. 23 minutes into the match, Clapham Comets F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Severino Soares came free, but Curtis Higgins reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alfredinho Velloso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brad Symons in the 25th minute of the match. Eduardo Cabral took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 32nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Curtis Higgins. Clapham Comets F.C.'s goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 34th minute, Marquinhos Pena ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Curtis Higgins was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. After a rather tough play, Clapham Comets F.C.'s Gerry Roebuck got a free kick in the 40th minute.

Eduardo Cabral took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 53rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Curtis Higgins. Clapham Comets F.C.'s goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 61 minutes into the match, Clube Atlético Paulista's goal looked a bit too open when Rupert Hampshire came free, but Alfredinho Velloso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 62 minutes into the match, Clapham Comets F.C.'s goalkeeper Curtis Higgins had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Severino Soares. In the 65th minute, Larry Butt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match clock showed 72 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Marquinhos Pena sped through Clapham Comets F.C.'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Curtis Higgins. Chip Preece kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Clube Atlético Paulista's Pedro Paulo Massa got a free kick in the 79th minute. Andrew Thomas struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Alfredinho Velloso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Clapham Comets F.C.. Clube Atlético Paulista's Alfredinho Velloso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brad Symons in the 84th minute of play. Osmar Cardozo hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rupert Hampshire in the 95th minute of play forced Clube Atlético Paulista's goalkeeper Alfredinho Velloso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Clube Atlético Paulista supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Clube Atlético Paulista would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
