Calum Frost kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Clapham Comets F.C.'s Sebastian Cross proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Clapham Comets F.C. from getting a goal against them. In the 27th minute, Marquinhos Pena made a precise shot to the right of Sebastian Cross. Clapham Comets F.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. After 37 minutes of play, Clube Atlético Paulista's Severino Soares made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sebastian Cross was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Clube Atlético Paulista getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Marquinhos Pena hit a great ball. After having played for 46 minutes, Sammy Le Tissier managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Clapham Comets F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Sammy Le Tissier was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sebastian Cross made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marquinhos Pena in the 48th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 5-0 at half-time.

Severino Soares scored 6-0 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sebastian Cross, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Clapham Comets F.C. getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Mick Bartrup hit a great ball. In the 60th minute of the match Eduardo Cabral sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sebastian Cross skillfully saved the ball. Clapham Comets F.C.'s Sebastian Cross played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Severino Soares in the 62nd minute of play. Kauan Guerra's late challenge caught a Clapham Comets F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kauan Guerra helped the player get up and apologised. Evaristo Gaúcho hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. 69 minutes into the match, Clapham Comets F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Marquinhos Pena came free, but Sebastian Cross reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 74th minute, Severino Soares ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sebastian Cross was frozen by the shot and now it was 8-0. In the 80th minute Severino Soares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastian Cross saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 80th minute, Calum Frost hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sebastian Cross showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Severino Soares, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brad Symons in the 83rd minute of play forced Clube Atlético Paulista's goalkeeper Alfredinho Velloso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Calum Frost hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Clube Atlético Paulista's Eduardo Cabral got his second yellow card of the match in the 87th minute. The referee ordered Eduardo Cabral off the ground. In the 87th match minute, Clube Atlético Paulista was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eduardo Cabral to maneuver through the defense. Sebastian Cross took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kauan Guerra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Severino Soares struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Sebastian Cross didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Clube Atlético Paulista. 96 minutes into the game, Brad Symons cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 8-1. Alfredinho Velloso was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Clube Atlético Paulista's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
