It was a well-played corner which Tobias Ponciano managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. After some careless play in the Abutres 2003 FDP defense, 楚政潮 kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Caio da Costa. The Abutres 2003 FDP fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Caio da Costa should have stopped the shot. 32 minutes had been played when some careless play by Abutres 2003 FDP's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. The corner led Formentera's Joaquin Vela to fire away a dangerous shot which Caio da Costa despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Caio da Costa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 楚政潮, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Murillo Bittencourt in the 44th minute of play forced Formentera's goalkeeper Justo Estefan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when 楚政潮 made the kick off in the second half. 楚政潮's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Caio da Costa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. Formentera's Justo Estefan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luiz Paulo Meirelles in the 59th minute of play. After 63 played minutes Formentera got a freekick which was hit by Fausto Ronconi. Caio da Costa made an important save on a dangerous shot by 楚政潮 in the 67th minute. When Modesto Poncio fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Formentera's protests and gave Modesto Poncio a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Formentera's Modesto Poncio got a free kick in the 70th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Formentera's 楚政潮 slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Caio da Costa. That made the score 0-2 after 74 minutes of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Osvaldo Sugar got free with Caio da Costa in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 84th minute, Osvaldo Sugar left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Formentera fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. The audience was convinced that Murillo Bittencourt's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Justo Estefan was relentless in the 90th minute of the game. The Formentera players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
