The crowd rose to their feet as Cristóvão de Salles kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Christos Vlachakis. That made the score 1-0 in the 9 minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Claudinho Pernambucano got free with Christos Vlachakis in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cristóvão de Salles made a kick off. In the 51st match minute, YELLOW FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fivos Kagouras to maneuver through the defense.
