An unexpectedly hard shot by Caetano Toscano in the 5th minute of play forced Maravilla's goalkeeper Gerónimo Rulli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 6 minutes into the match, Rick Cabezon notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Maravilla's Gerónimo Rulli. Gerónimo Rulli was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rick Cabezon in the 9th minute of play forced Maravilla's goalkeeper Gerónimo Rulli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 9 minutes, Cornelio Arlo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Maravilla and the Barcellos Mineiro FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 9th match minute, Maravilla was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cornelio Arlo to maneuver through the defense. Gerónimo Rulli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rick Cabezon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ernesto Urtsua hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. After 14 minutes of play, Barcellos Mineiro FC's Rick Cabezon made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gerónimo Rulli was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Barcellos Mineiro FC booed when Maravilla was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Haroldo Frutos didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Caetano Toscano in the 24th minute of play forced Maravilla's goalkeeper Gerónimo Rulli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 27 minutes into the match, Rick Cabezon had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gerónimo Rulli. Maravilla's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rick Cabezon was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. Gerónimo Rulli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eriberto Vidal, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Ernesto Urtsua sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 39th minute, Cornelio Arlo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Caetano Toscano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Gerónimo Rulli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rick Cabezon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-6.

During the 51st minute of the match Cornelio Arlo completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Cornelio Arlo a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 52 played minutes Maravilla got a freekick which was hit by Cornelio Arlo. After 53 played minutes Barcellos Mineiro FC got a freekick which was hit by Caetano Toscano. When Caetano Toscano got the opportunity to take care of a free kick, it resulted in a really dangerous shot that almost went in the goal. Instead the ball hit the crossbar and flew out of bounds. Jeronimo Solustiano's late challenge caught a Barcellos Mineiro FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jeronimo Solustiano helped the player get up and apologised. In the 55th match minute, Maravilla was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jeronimo Solustiano to maneuver through the defense. If João Adolfo Hermes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, Maravilla's Enzo Martinez got a free kick in the 59th minute. Rick Cabezon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gerónimo Rulli having to interfere. Maravilla's Gerónimo Rulli proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save Maravilla from getting a goal against them. Caetano Toscano received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Gerónimo Rulli came out and tried to block the shot, but Caetano Toscano slotted it home off the left post making it 0-7 in the 65th minute. Gerónimo Rulli came out of the goal in the 72nd minute to try and stop a shot by Barcellos Mineiro FC's Caetano Toscano. But to his dismay, Caetano Toscano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-8. Barcellos Mineiro FC made a substitution. Giuseppe Camargo replaced Eriberto Vidal. Gerónimo Rulli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rick Cabezon in the 81st minute of play. 82 minutes into the match, Maravilla's goalkeeper Gerónimo Rulli had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Giuseppe Camargo. In the 82nd minute, Barcellos Mineiro FC's Giuseppe Camargo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Gerónimo Rulli. Gerónimo Rulli yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-9. The supporters of Barcellos Mineiro FC booed when Maravilla was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jeronimo Solustiano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rick Cabezon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Gerónimo Rulli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gerónimo Rulli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Caetano Toscano, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. When the match was over Barcellos Mineiro FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Maravilla throughout the match.
