In the 11th minute the ball was on its way in behind Montesclarense E.C.'s goalkeeper Luiz Eger, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Montesclarense E.C.'s Marcos Figueiredo got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wiliam Damião got free with Gerónimo Rulli in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Maravilla booed when Montesclarense E.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kauan Guerra didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gerónimo Rulli stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kauan Guerra's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. A collision led to Maravilla getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Cornelio Arlo hit a great ball. Gerónimo Rulli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kauan Guerra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 62nd minute, Baltazar Dantas made a precise shot to the right of Gerónimo Rulli. Maravilla's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Ernesto Urtsua had several of the Montesclarense E.C.'s defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 68 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal.
