The audience thought a goal was coming when Eriberto Vidal got free with Agustín Orion in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cornelio Arlo hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. In the 12th minute, Eriberto Vidal reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Agustín Orion. The goal made the score 1-0. Haroldo Frutos hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Vladimiro Ondino hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Cornelio Arlo hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. The supporters of Barcellos Mineiro FC booed when Maravilla was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jeronimo Solustiano didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 26th minute of the match João Adolfo Hermes sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Agustín Orion skillfully saved the ball. Enzo Martinez hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, Barcellos Mineiro FC's João Adolfo Hermes tried to score from far away in the 33rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Agustín Orion came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by Barcellos Mineiro FC's Caetano Toscano. But to his dismay, Caetano Toscano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Maravilla's Vladimiro Ondino managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Sebastião Silveira in the 41 minute of the game. With a little luck, Maravilla's Agustín Orion got control of the ball when Caetano Toscano tried to sneak it across the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

A sloppy throw-in by Sandy Fumarola in the 52nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Maravilla's Vladimiro Ondino. Carlinhos Bertassi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Agustín Orion having to interfere. 68 minutes into the match, Caetano Toscano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Agustín Orion. Maravilla's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Caetano Toscano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Caetano Toscano in the 72nd minute of play forced Maravilla's goalkeeper Agustín Orion to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 81st minute Caetano Toscano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Agustín Orion saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Agustín Orion made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Caetano Toscano in the 84th minute of play. Caetano Toscano took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Agustín Orion. Agustín Orion dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. Ernesto Urtsua received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Waldir Peres tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Barcellos Mineiro FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
