Florín Sances started the match with the kick off. After a rather tough play, Fenerbahçe's Gazi Seralp got a free kick in the 2nd minute. A hard shot 4 in the game by Florín Sances from a close distance when the talented Yıldırım Yaman managed to make a qualified save. Fenerbahçe's players were relieved. Fenerbahçe's defense didn't have a chance, in the 11th minute, when Salvador Roldán scored to the left of an out of position Yıldırım Yaman, making the score, 1-0. Yıldırım Yaman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Salvador Roldán in the 15th minute of the match. In the 15th minute, Oğuzalp Ak hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Yıldırım Yaman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Salvador Roldán, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Florín Sances in the 20th minute of play forced Fenerbahçe's goalkeeper Yıldırım Yaman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Yıldırım Yaman was a little too slow when Florín Sances got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 26th minute. The score was now 3-0. In the 34th minute, Florín Sances ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Yıldırım Yaman was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. After 36 minutes, Salvador Roldán mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cobresal and the Fenerbahçe players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Cobresal's Salvador Roldán got a free kick in the 37th minute. Yıldırım Yaman didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Salvador Roldán went, in the 44th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-1 was the resulting score. Af the end of the first half the score was 5-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tuncer İribaş to strike the kick off in the second half. Patricio Mayol made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tuncer İribaş in the 53rd minute. After a rather tough play, Fenerbahçe's Uğurcan Oğuzalp got a free kick in the 62nd minute. In the 65th minute of the match Eriberto Pincheira sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Yıldırım Yaman skillfully saved the ball. After 66 minutes of play Fenerbahçe's Binali Hicabi was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to Fenerbahçe getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Binali Hicabi hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Fenerbahçe's zone, Florín Sances stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Yıldırım Yaman came out of the goal and Florín Sances tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 73 minutes into the match, Fenerbahçe's goal looked a bit too open when Salvador Roldán came free, but Yıldırım Yaman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Salvador Roldán sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Cobresal's Patricio Mayol got control of the ball when Evren Tanfer tried to sneak it across the goal line. Salvador Roldán kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Fenerbahçe's Yıldırım Yaman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Salvador Roldán in the 82nd minute of play. Yıldırım Yaman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ermegildo Marsano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Yıldırım Yaman didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Salvador Roldán went, in the 87th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-1 was the resulting score.
