Miroslaw Logewnik received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Finn Eidsvåg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 6th minute, Adam Svenning had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. Sebastian Bentkowski's late challenge caught a AEK FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sebastian Bentkowski helped the player get up and apologised. AEK FC made a substitution. Endre Bjørheim replaced Adam Svenning. The supporters of Goral Zywiec booed when AEK FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Israel Petri didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by J.J Boss in the 11th minute of play forced Goral Zywiec's goalkeeper Leszek Pruss to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 14th play minute Sebastian Bentkowski came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Finn Eidsvåg. 1-0. Leszek Pruss showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Israel Petri, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. In the 20th minute, Radowit Hetman made a precise shot to the right of Leszek Pruss. Goral Zywiec's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. AEK FC's Finn Eidsvåg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save AEK FC from getting a goal against them. The referee ignored AEK FC's protests and gave Erik Stordal a yellow card for diving instead. In the 30th match minute, AEK FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erik Stordal to maneuver through the defense. Leszek Pruss made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abdi Malkoçoğlu in the 33rd minute of play. If Sebastian Bentkowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Zbyszek Brodzki charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Zbyszek Brodzki the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Goral Zywiec getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Zbyszek Brodzki hit a great ball. Leszek Pruss took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Radowit Hetman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Miroslaw Logewnik made a kick off. Radowit Hetman kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Leszek Pruss made an important save on a dangerous shot by Radowit Hetman in the 55th minute. Leszek Pruss made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Israel Petri in the 57th minute of play. In the 59th minute, Radowit Hetman ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Leszek Pruss was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. After 65 minutes, Miroslaw Logewnik made it 2-2 with a short kick to the right side. AEK FC's Finn Eidsvåg tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Radowit Hetman got free with Leszek Pruss in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 71st minute, Israel Petri ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Leszek Pruss was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. Leszek Pruss made an important save on a dangerous shot by Erik Stordal in the 73rd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Miroslaw Logewnik managed to get in a good position for a shot. Goral Zywiec's supporters rose to their feet, but Miroslaw Logewnik was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Finn Eidsvåg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Goral Zywiec's Leszek Pruss proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save Goral Zywiec from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Goral Zywiec's Leszek Pruss got control of the ball when Radowit Hetman tried to sneak it across the goal line. AEK FC's Finn Eidsvåg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miroslaw Logewnik in the 82nd minute of play. When Mikolaj Iwaszko fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Goral Zywiec's protests and gave Mikolaj Iwaszko a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of AEK FC booed when Goral Zywiec was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mikolaj Iwaszko didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Israel Petri in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leszek Pruss saved Goral Zywiec from getting behind. In the 85th minute, Radowit Hetman made a precise shot to the right of Leszek Pruss. Goral Zywiec's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-4. In the 89th minute, J.J Boss hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leszek Pruss made an important save on a dangerous shot by Israel Petri in the 91st minute. Leszek Pruss didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Israel Petri went, in the 94th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-5 was the resulting score. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. AEK FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
