The audience thought a goal was coming when Jan-Erik Tunberg got free with Félix Mielle in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some careless play in the MALZBIER defense, Alexander Olofsson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Félix Mielle. The MALZBIER fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Félix Mielle should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Polly Magoo Juniors getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Cem Adrian hit a great ball. Félix Mielle stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jan-Erik Tunberg's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. Jan-Erik Tunberg ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gonçalo Montenegro in the 42nd minute of play forced Polly Magoo Juniors's goalkeeper Gigio Buffon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 46th play minute Jan-Erik Tunberg came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Félix Mielle. 2-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tony Hoffmann stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Félix Mielle prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Jan-Erik Tunberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Félix Mielle was relentless in the 87th minute of the game.
