After 15 minutes of play Verissimo KFCH F.C.'s Dieguinho da Silva was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The Underdogs made a substitution. Denny Polak replaced Teo Reintjes. In the 17th match minute, Verissimo KFCH F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dieguinho da Silva to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Verissimo KFCH F.C.'s Matias Haimar got control of the ball when Gerard van den Eede tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gerard van den Eede might have been able to make a better finish in the 24th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Matias Haimar. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. After 40 played minutes The Underdogs got a freekick which was hit by Henk-Jan Zeldenrust. Verissimo KFCH F.C.'s Manuel Bezerra got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gerard van den Eede received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Matias Haimar came out and tried to block the shot, but Gerard van den Eede slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 43rd minute. Gerard van den Eede in the 47thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Matias Haimar, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The Underdogs walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
