Mauricio Maura made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Mauricio Maura showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jernej Petrovič in the 11th minute of the match. In the 13th minute of the match HIT Gorica got a corner. ZORZAL01's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. László Tar ran over to the corner to take the kick. HIT Gorica's Konstantin Pančur played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arsenio Maldonado in the 15th minute of play. After 15 minutes, Brite McCready mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the HIT Gorica and the ZORZAL01 players grew even worse after the yellow card. The crowd rose to their feet as ZORZAL01's Arsenio Maldonado slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Konstantin Pančur. That made the score 1-1 after 17 minutes of play. Mauricio Maura took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zlatko Goričan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Duško Turnšek in the 24th minute of play forced ZORZAL01's goalkeeper Mauricio Maura to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 25 minutes into the match, HIT Gorica's goal looked a bit too open when Arsenio Maldonado came free, but Konstantin Pančur reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mauricio Maura showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Venancio Abalos, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. HIT Gorica's Konstantin Pančur proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save HIT Gorica from getting a goal against them. Mauricio Maura took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Duško Turnšek, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Konstantin Pančur was a little too slow when Benjamin Firmo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 46th minute. The score was now 2-2. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Arsenio Maldonado made a kick off. In the 53rd minute, Lázaro Darien hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 57th minute, Duško Turnšek fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Mauricio Maura, passed just outside the right post. In the 61st match minute, ZORZAL01 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Everardo Calvino to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zlatko Goričan in the 64th minute of play forced ZORZAL01's goalkeeper Mauricio Maura to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Istok Šabotić received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Mauricio Maura tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. ZORZAL01's Mauricio Maura proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save ZORZAL01 from getting a goal against them. Konstantin Pančur made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benjamin Firmo in the 71st minute of play. ZORZAL01's defense didn't have a chance, in the 75th minute, when Istok Šabotić scored to the left of an out of position Mauricio Maura, making the score, 2-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zlatko Goričan in the 89th minute of play forced ZORZAL01's goalkeeper Mauricio Maura to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, ZORZAL01's Cristo Hurko got a free kick in the 90th minute. Julian Iratzeder hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Istok Šabotić could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Mauricio Maura made a huge save. When the final whistle sounded HIT Gorica left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than ZORZAL01.
