After 3 played minutes Verwachting got a freekick which was hit by Henk Hofland. 7 minutes into the game, TIBURON F.C's Cipriano Olando nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Casper Enting made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Casper Enting showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Angelino Edwardo, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Miguel Laurentzi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gerrit Melis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 20 played minutes TIBURON F.C got a freekick which was hit by Cristian Ortle. 24 minutes into the match, TIBURON F.C's goalkeeper Miguel Laurentzi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Oscar Vaalman. The supporters of Verwachting booed when TIBURON F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teo Petrigai didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Gerrit Melis fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Verwachting's protests and gave Gerrit Melis a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Verwachting's Gerrit Melis got a free kick in the 26th minute. Casper Enting made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cipriano Olando in the 27th minute of play. Casper Enting didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Omar Celino went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. With a little luck, TIBURON F.C's Miguel Laurentzi got control of the ball when Gerrit Melis tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 45th minute Gerrit Melis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miguel Laurentzi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Omar Celino scored 0-3 in the 47th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Casper Enting, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The Verwachting players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. TIBURON F.C were winning 0-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ron Lammers was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Gerrit Melis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Miguel Laurentzi was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. In the 58th minute, Gerrit Melis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, TIBURON F.C's Teo Petrigai got a free kick in the 59th minute. The supporters of Verwachting booed when TIBURON F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Angelino Edwardo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 68th minute Oscar Vaalman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miguel Laurentzi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Domingo Abilio during the 69th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Verwachting's Henk-Jan Opdam got a free kick in the 84th minute. The supporters of TIBURON F.C booed when Verwachting was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wilfred Vonk didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Omar Celino got free with Casper Enting in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Miguel Laurentzi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oscar Vaalman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 92 minutes into the match, Oscar Vaalman notched a goal, 2-3, to the right of TIBURON F.C's Miguel Laurentzi. Miguel Laurentzi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 97 played minutes Verwachting got a freekick which was hit by Gerrit Melis. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched TIBURON F.C eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
