Oscar Vaalman hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. 13 minutes into the game, Gerrit Melis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Verwachting's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tiger the free kick. The supporters of Tiger booed when Verwachting was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gerrit Melis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tor Jäger took the ball and in the 14 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Casper Enting. Casper Enting dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Verwachting's Wilfred Vonk managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Albrecht Kowalke in the 18 minute of the game. After 19 played minutes Verwachting got a freekick which was hit by Oscar Vaalman. In the 23rd minute Rolf Matzken shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Casper Enting saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Tiger getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Elis Färber hit a great ball. Casper Enting stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tor Jäger's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. After 28 minutes of play, Tiger's Tor Jäger made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Casper Enting was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 31st minute Tor Jäger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Casper Enting saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Casper Enting showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roswin Westermayer, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. The supporters of Verwachting booed when Tiger was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kayacan Tahir didn't get a good kick on the ball. 40 minutes into the match, Albrecht Kowalke notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Verwachting's Casper Enting. Casper Enting was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The wind increased when Ron Lammers made the kick off in the second half. Elis Färber's late challenge caught a Verwachting's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Elis Färber helped the player get up and apologised. After 50 played minutes Tiger got a freekick which was hit by Elis Färber. In the 52nd minute Roswin Westermayer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Casper Enting saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Han Sibon kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Tiger's Elis Färber tried to score from far away in the 54th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Tor Jäger in the 55thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Casper Enting, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. If Ron Lammers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tiger made a substitution. Hartfrid Hirtzel replaced Arvid Wacker. Tiger's Manuel Gebauer was substituted for Olgierd Lato. Verwachting's Casper Enting played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roswin Westermayer in the 67th minute of play. When Henk-Jan Opdam fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Verwachting's protests and gave Henk-Jan Opdam a yellow card for diving instead. Henk-Jan Opdam kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. The nice shot from Tor Jäger in the 75thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Casper Enting had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. Roswin Westermayer kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Casper Enting showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roswin Westermayer in the 83rd minute of the match. After 86 minutes, Henk Hofland mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Verwachting and the Tiger players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 86th match minute, Verwachting was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Henk Hofland to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Verwachting getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Henk Hofland hit a great ball. The Tiger supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Tiger would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
