The coaching staff of Ricart Futebol Clube protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Juan Vale had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. A collision led to Ricart Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Juan Vale hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Berti Stand in the 6th minute of play forced Ricart Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Simão Duarte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Simão Duarte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wulf-Dieter Schwarze in the 8th minute of play. Burkhard Niebler scored 0-2 in the 17th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Simão Duarte, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Walt Schräder in the 22nd minute of play forced Ricart Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Simão Duarte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ricart Futebol Clube's Marcos da Fonseca got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the Ricart Futebol Clube defense, Jens Stober kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Simão Duarte. The Ricart Futebol Clube fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Simão Duarte should have stopped the shot. After 29 played minutes Ricart Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Vitinho Negri. Burkhard Niebler took the ball and in the 30 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Simão Duarte. Simão Duarte dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kilian Gutrath in the 36th minute of play forced Ricart Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Simão Duarte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 40th minute Wulf-Dieter Schwarze shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Simão Duarte saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Simão Duarte came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by Hamburg Fighters's Kilian Gutrath. But to his dismay, Kilian Gutrath quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. Disappointed in the 0-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Burkhard Niebler to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute of the match, Walt Schräder got a very nice opportunity to score, but Simão Duarte was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Ricart Futebol Clube's Simão Duarte played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jens Stober in the 53rd minute of play. Simão Duarte showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Burkhard Niebler in the 58th minute of the match. Walt Schräder charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Walt Schräder the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 59th minute, Walt Schräder hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Burkhard Niebler's late challenge caught a Ricart Futebol Clube's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Burkhard Niebler helped the player get up and apologised. Simão Duarte was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Wulf-Dieter Schwarze showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-6 in the 64 minute of play. Ricart Futebol Clube's Simão Duarte proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save Ricart Futebol Clube from getting a goal against them. Matthew Jastrzembowski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marquinhos Azevedo in the 69th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Wulf-Dieter Schwarze kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Simão Duarte. That made the score 0-7 in the 75 minute of play. In the 78th minute, Wulf-Dieter Schwarze hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Burkhard Niebler hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Simão Duarte didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Wulf-Dieter Schwarze went, in the 82nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-8 was the resulting score. In the 90th minute, Marcos da Fonseca got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ricart Futebol Clube's Simão Duarte proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 97th minute of the match, managed to save Ricart Futebol Clube from getting a goal against them.
