The audience was convinced that Burkhard Niebler's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Otokar Voda was relentless in the 5th minute of the game. Rudolf Aschenbrenner hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Walt Schräder in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Otokar Voda saved FC Chorchoj from getting behind. In the 8thth minute of the game Vladimír Adam who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hamburg Fighters's Matthew Jastrzembowski was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 12th minute, Bernd Schimmel made a precise shot to the right of Otokar Voda. FC Chorchoj's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Otokar Voda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernd Schimmel, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. If Vladimír Adam had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 21st match minute, FC Chorchoj was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Přemek Štolba to maneuver through the defense. In the 26th minute, Jiří Provazník ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Matthew Jastrzembowski was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. In the 30th minute Walt Schräder shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Otokar Voda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 32 minutes of play, Hamburg Fighters's Burkhard Niebler made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Otokar Voda was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Rudolf Aschenbrenner fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hamburg Fighters's protests and gave Rudolf Aschenbrenner a yellow card for diving instead. Rudolf Aschenbrenner kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Otokar Voda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernd Schimmel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 42nd match minute, FC Chorchoj was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jiří Provazník to maneuver through the defense. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Hamburg Fighters reached it. Vladimír Adam in the 45thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Matthew Jastrzembowski, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. FC Chorchoj's Otokar Voda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Burkhard Niebler in the 46th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Vladimír Adam stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, FC Chorchoj's Otokar Voda got control of the ball when Bernd Schimmel tried to sneak it across the goal line. Matthew Jastrzembowski stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vladimír Adam's shot from short distance in the 55th minute.
