Betão Marinho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ramiro Erasto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Betão Marinho in the 8th minute of the match. 8 minutes into the game, Pastor Botello was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Los Muchachos del 86's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Quebra Ossos FC the free kick. After 9 played minutes Los Muchachos del 86 got a freekick which was hit by Pastor Botello. In the 14th minute, Santo Blanco ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ronaldão dos Santos was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Santo Blanco kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 19thth minute. Though ot was a great shot Quebra Ossos FC's keeper Ronaldão dos Santos was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. Ronaldão dos Santos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Santo Blanco in the 22nd minute. In the 23rd minute, Carlos Augusto Galvão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind Quebra Ossos FC's goalkeeper Ronaldão dos Santos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Aírton Queirós fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Quebra Ossos FC's protests and gave Aírton Queirós a yellow card for diving instead. In the 32nd match minute, Quebra Ossos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aírton Queirós to maneuver through the defense. If Santo Blanco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to Quebra Ossos FC getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Eliézer Dracena hit a great ball. Ramiro Erasto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sílvio Corrêa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Joel Pabla charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Joel Pabla the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 39 played minutes Los Muchachos del 86 got a freekick which was hit by Joel Pabla. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Betão Marinho was the one to do the kick off. Quebra Ossos FC's Sílvio Corrêa got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Betão Marinhos short, quick shot in the 65thth minute got Ramiro Erasto to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 68th minute Betão Marinho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ramiro Erasto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Santo Blanco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ronaldão dos Santos having to interfere. If Joel Pabla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Santo Blanco's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ronaldão dos Santos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. After 87 played minutes Quebra Ossos FC got a freekick which was hit by Eliézer Sarmento. In the 93rd minute, Eliézer Sarmento hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Joel Pabla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Ronaldão dos Santos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Quebra Ossos FC succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Los Muchachos del 86 had controlled the match.
