Philippe Vehma could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Kristiaan Van de Velde made a huge save. The supporters of de belletrekkers booed when Zelg FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gerard Herger didn't get a good kick on the ball. 17 minutes into the match, Edgard Armentier had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Feodor Thelen. Zelg FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edgard Armentier was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. George Van Impe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 21st minute George Van Impe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Feodor Thelen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 22 minutes Zelg FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Karel-Jan De Coninck who took care of the corner kick. After 25 played minutes de belletrekkers got a freekick which was hit by Kristiaan Dirickx. Zelg FC's Xavier Kirchner couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 26th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for de belletrekkers. When George Van Impe came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the de belletrekkers fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that George Van Impe couldn't finish the play. Edgard Armentier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 35 played minutes Zelg FC got a freekick which was hit by Titus Leonz. Philippe Vehma kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. 45 minutes into the match, Zelg FC's goal looked a bit too open when George Van Impe came free, but Feodor Thelen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 47 minutes Zelg FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Karel-Jan De Coninck who took care of the corner kick. A well done corner resulted in George Van Impe drilling the ball in to score 0-2 behind Zelg FC's goalkeeper.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Edgard Armentier to make the kick off. When Titus Leonz fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Zelg FC's protests and gave Titus Leonz a yellow card for diving instead. Feodor Thelen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edgard Armentier in the 58th minute of the match. Kristiaan Van de Velde showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Philippe Vehma, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Zelg FC's Feodor Thelen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save Zelg FC from getting a goal against them. The supporters of de belletrekkers booed when Zelg FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Xavier Kirchner didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when George Van Impe got free with Feodor Thelen in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 85 minutes into the game, Eugene Mullis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Zelg FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave de belletrekkers the free kick. A collision led to Zelg FC getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Eugene Mullis hit a great ball. Charlie Godts took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 86th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Feodor Thelen. Zelg FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 89 minutes into the game, Zelg FC's Eugene Mullis nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Kristiaan Van de Velde made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. A sloppy throw-in by Gerard Herger in the 94th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by de belletrekkers's Georges-Philippe van Haghten. Georges-Philippe van Haghten received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Feodor Thelen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Beniamino Wunderlin hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. When the final whistle sounded de belletrekkers left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Zelg FC.
