Through an outstanding action, after 12 minutes, Enrique Lekubegi successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 20th minute, Donato Vachon ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fausto Roderigo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Baldomiro Eutor lost his temper 24 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Baldomiro Eutor kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Bicicleta F.C.'s Beppe Romagnoli got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Edgardo Iruinea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Enrique Lekubegi having to interfere. Enrique Lekubegi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Segundo Feliu in the 31st minute of play. Palermo's Enrique Lekubegi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Segundo Feliu in the 35th minute of play. Enrique Lekubegi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edgardo Iruinea in the 36th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 41 minutes, Filippo Degrassi put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Enrique Lekubegi. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eleuterio Sotil to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Segundo Feliu in the 58th minute of play forced Palermo's goalkeeper Enrique Lekubegi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 60th minute, Filippo Degrassi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Bicicleta F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Enrique Lekubegi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Filippo Degrassi went, in the 64th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. In the 67th minute Filippo Degrassi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enrique Lekubegi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Lisandro Argi fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Palermo's protests and gave Lisandro Argi a yellow card for diving instead. Lisandro Argi kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. In the 71st match minute, Bicicleta F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hüsmen Vahat to maneuver through the defense. Hüsmen Vahat sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Segundo Feliu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Enrique Lekubegi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nicanor Gaufred recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Edgardo Iruinea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Palermo booed when Bicicleta F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Filippo Degrassi didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 90th minute Edgardo Iruinea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enrique Lekubegi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edgardo Iruinea's late challenge caught a Palermo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Edgardo Iruinea helped the player get up and apologised. Palermo's Romeo Presebal was substituted for Lisandro Argi. After a rather tough play, Bicicleta F.C.'s Edgardo Iruinea got a free kick in the 96th minute. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Bicicleta F.C. had played much better football throughout.
