Floriana Celtics's Ian Manchè proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Floriana Celtics from getting a goal against them. Xande Cachorro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ian Manchè read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. Xande Cachorro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Ian Manchè made a huge save. Xande Cachorro charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Xande Cachorro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Teodoro Jacinto came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by Floriana Celtics's Brian Urpani. But to his dismay, Brian Urpani quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 23rd minute, Andrew Cuschieri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Xande Cachorro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ian Manchè having to make a save. With a little luck, Floriana Celtics's Ian Manchè got control of the ball when Xande Cachorro tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 29th minute Yao Yuan Jun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ian Manchè saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Teodoro Jacinto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brian Urpani, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Floriana Celtics's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Pepe Haedo in the 32nd minute. Floriana Celtics's Pepe Haedo was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Teodoro Jacinto in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Ian Manchè was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Xande Cachorro showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 34 minute of play. Xande Cachorro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ian Manchè having to make a save. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Brian Urpani made a kick off. Ian Manchè showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Xande Cachorro in the 51st minute of the match. In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Floriana Celtics's goalkeeper Ian Manchè, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Xande Cachorro in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ian Manchè saved Floriana Celtics from getting behind. Teodoro Jacinto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brian Urpani in the 57th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gregory Boffa got free with Teodoro Jacinto in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A very good chance. 85 minutes into the game, São Paulo da Floresta's Xande Cachorro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ian Manchè made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1.
