In the 15th minute, Serge Bolado reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Aldo Candal. The goal made the score 2-0. In the 17th minute, Nicu Joldea got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Serge Bolado could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Aldo Candal made a huge save. In the 21st minute, one of Brugge United:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Brugge United. Xande Buffon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucas Nayely in the 28th minute of play. Aldo Candal made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Serge Bolado sent off a good shot on target. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Serge Bolado stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
