The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Carlo Moek received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Silviu Lung tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 8 minutes, Christijan Oss made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Stiinta-Univ.'s Silviu Lung tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 11 minutes into the game, Bill Beukenkamp was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Decathlon Dudes's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Stiinta-Univ. the free kick. Bill Beukenkamp kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. 15 minutes into the match, Stiinta-Univ.'s goalkeeper Silviu Lung had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mads Pedersen. In the 17thth minute of the game Carlo Moek who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Stiinta-Univ.'s Silviu Lung was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Roelof Zeevenhoven in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Silviu Lung saved Stiinta-Univ. from getting behind. Roelof Zeevenhoven who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 23rdth minute tested the skills of Silviu Lung when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 24 minutes into the match, Decathlon Dudes's Carlo Moek sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Silviu Lung narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Manuel Burdujan kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. With his leg Silviu Lung managed to avoid a goal in the 29thth minute, when Decathlon Dudes's Christijan Oss fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 30 played minutes Stiinta-Univ. got a freekick which was hit by Manuel Aluncai. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlo Moek in the 32nd minute of play forced Stiinta-Univ.'s goalkeeper Silviu Lung to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Stiinta-Univ.'s Silviu Lung got control of the ball when Christijan Oss tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dirk-Jan van Bronckhorst made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Irinel Itoafă in the 43rd minute of play.

Silviu Lung stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Christijan Oss's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. Horaţiu Corduneanu kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Silviu Lung showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jasper Philipsen in the 58th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Stiinta-Univ.'s zone, Roelof Zeevenhoven stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Silviu Lung came out of the goal and Roelof Zeevenhoven tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 65 minutes into the game, Roelof Zeevenhoven cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Silviu Lung was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Silviu Lung showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christijan Oss in the 67th minute of the match. When Carlo Moek came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Decathlon Dudes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carlo Moek couldn't finish the play. In the 70th minute, Roelof Zeevenhoven got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Christijan Oss had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christijan Oss in the 77th minute of play forced Stiinta-Univ.'s goalkeeper Silviu Lung to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 78th match minute, Stiinta-Univ. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aristide Pupăzan to maneuver through the defense. 80 minutes into the match, Stiinta-Univ.'s goal looked a bit too open when Carlo Moek came free, but Silviu Lung reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Silviu Lung showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlo Moek, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Christijan Oss kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. In the 91st minute, Olav Kooij hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 92 minutes into the match, Mircea Creangă sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Dirk-Jan van Bronckhorst threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Mircea Creangă this time. Ovidiu Borza charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ovidiu Borza the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 95th match minute, Stiinta-Univ. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ovidiu Borza to maneuver through the defense. After 96 played minutes, Decathlon Dudes's Mads Pedersen shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Silviu Lung came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Decathlon Dudes reached it.
