When the match had gone on for 27 minutes, John Garate took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Dario Giacomini to make any attempt to save it. In the 31st minute Fidelis Boccardi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but J.P. España saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dario Giacomini made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aritz Morales in the 39th minute of play. Hampton Simmen struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. J.P. España didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Denti della Vecchia. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Aritz Morales to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Aritz Morales had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dario Giacomini. Denti della Vecchia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Aritz Morales was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Hampton Simmen charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Andreas Gilardi might have been able to make a better finish in the 77th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over J.P. España. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. España came out of the goal and Andreas Gilardi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. J.P. España made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Andreas Gilardi sent off a good shot on target.
