Gandolfo Sánchez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Natalio Ferman, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Victor Olle's late challenge caught a San Lorenzo de Sarandi's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rodolfo Mendez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Oscar Passet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The San Lorenzo de Sarandi players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
