The supporters of San Lorenzo booed when HHH was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Durmuş Coşar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ramazan Eygül showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Diego Balendin in the 53rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, HHH's Gani Kahveci got a free kick in the 55th minute. Diego Balendin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Ramazan Eygül tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 57th match minute, HHH was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Birsel Kulan to maneuver through the defense. 58 minutes into the game, one of San Lorenzo:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After a rather tough play, HHH's Gani Kahveci got a free kick in the 62nd minute. After 63 played minutes, San Lorenzo's Victor Belmiro shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ramazan Eygül came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in San Lorenzo reached it. San Lorenzo's Anier Oidor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mehmet Hamdi Tunçaslan in the 65th minute of play. Mustafa Numan Buğdaycı's late challenge caught a San Lorenzo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mustafa Numan Buğdaycı helped the player get up and apologised. In a very dangerous position, a player in HHH fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 72nd minute. Penalty! Ramazan Eygül came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by San Lorenzo's Arnaldo Hurko. But to his dismay, Arnaldo Hurko quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. Diego Balendin received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ramazan Eygül came out and tried to block the shot, but Diego Balendin slotted it home off the left post making it 2-4 in the 79th minute. Birsel Kulan kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Flavio Lucila hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Ahmet Koralp Özerkmen hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Arnaldo Bide fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ramazan Eygül having to interfere. A collision led to HHH getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Nihat Tokuşhan hit a great ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. San Lorenzo walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
