Breguete FC's Júlio Soares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ismael Ourente in the 20th minute of play. Róbert Szepesvári took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sílvio Luís Mendes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Ismael Ourente came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Club Dep. Union Madereros fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ismael Ourente couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Breguete FC's Júlio Soares got control of the ball when Ismael Ourente tried to sneak it across the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
Róbert Szepesvári showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sílvio Luís Mendes in the 52nd minute of the match. When Ismael Ourente came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Club Dep. Union Madereros fans jumped to their feet. The Breguete FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
